What is the difference between IP Cameras and Analog HD CCTV cameras?

What type of Hard Disk should I use for continuous CCTV recording?
Standard desktop PC hard drives are NOT designed for 24/7 video writes and can fail quickly. You must use surveillance-certified hard drives such as Seagate SkyHawk or Western Digital Purple (WD Purple), which feature specialized firmware to prevent frame drops.
